5 reasons why you’re hypnotizable (like everyone else)

If you have read an article, watched an interview or a statement from someone talking about hypnosis and are left wondering who can be hypnotized or not; know that you, like everyone else, can. Below are some reasons to help you understand why.

1. You sleep

Hypnosis is a state where you are half awake and half asleep. Every day, whether you have been hypnotized or not, you go through this same mental state to enter the common sleep, experienced by everyone.

2. You wake up

To return to the real state of being awake, of being awake, you must go through the hypnotic state again, where you are half asleep and half awake. Episodes of temporary narcolepsy can be noticed when someone does not completely come out of the hypnotic trance, something that also occurs with people who can enjoy a better night’s sleep.

3. You read

The attention provoked by reading creates a naturally hypnotic mental state. At this moment when the use of logic and reason is used to absorb information and new learning, among other items, hypnosis is the mechanism that allows you to quickly respond to conscious and unconscious interpretations, through a double communication channel, which unites these two mental poles. Final verdict: you only know how to read because you are hypnotizable.

4. You learn

You learn when you read, when you watch a movie, a documentary, a class, or when you observe any other daily phenomenon. You are only not learning when you decide not to learn, but even so, this decision was only conscious and, sometimes, it cannot replace the relevance of the unconscious learning mechanism inherent in the human mind, absorbing new information in the same way. Example: If you don’t remember the name of this article, at least remember that it was interesting enough to make you want to read it. This would be an example of learning where your unconscious mind prevailed. But, if you remember the name of the article, along with the reasons that led you to read it, it can be said that both your conscious and unconscious mind worked very well right from the start.

5. You breathe

Try to stop breathing for a few moments. What happens? Your body starts to have physical reactions so that you understand that it needs to keep breathing. But, let’s say that you manage, by force of will or by circumstance, to actually hold your breath for a long time. What happens? Your unconscious mind knocks you out; it makes you faint, just to show you how you have no control over a process such as your breathing, the way you tried to have and, obviously, to save your life. It is natural that, with the appropriate training, you become able to hold your breath for longer, but the unconscious mechanism that takes care of your physical integrity will be in full operation, making you faint, so as not to allow you to inflict damage to your own organism. Since, if you do not consciously take care of your physical integrity, your unconscious will use its own mechanisms to do so.

Hypnosis is something extremely simple

And it will become even simpler, as you understand that hypnosis, as a state, is nothing more than an incredibly optimized way of learning and absorbing information. In the therapeutic context, this is the way for you to get what you want, by changing the subconscious. The subconscious is always the object of desired change in any human circumstance and hypnosis is the best way to dominate it.
